Dr McCann is a great consultant to work for. She is very inspiring and is a good role model for junior doctors. She adopts a holistic approach to caring for her patients and always ensures her patients understand their conditions and management. She spends time listening to them, empathising with them and explaining their treatment - something that is becoming rare in acute medicine these days! Her warm caring compassionate manner is one of her key qualities. Patients always come first with her. She is well respected among her colleagues and is a very supportive consultant for not only doctors but nurses and other healthcare staff. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her and have learned a significant amount from her. She is a huge asset to RPH
